George Town Street View: Chulia Street

Chulia Street is one of the main roads in George Town and is within the heritage zone. The rather long road is lined with various hotels, pre-war shophouses and connects with various other streets such as Love Lane, Carnarvon Street and Kapitan Keling Mosque Street.

Penang Isle: Armenian Street, George Town

A stroll down the historical Armenian Street which is located at the heart of heritage zone in George Town, Penang.

The street’s name originates from a Armenian family that had its home at the junction of the now Armenian Street and Beach Street in the early part of the 19th century.

Penang Isle: Beach Street

The Beach Street of Georgetown, Penang is a busy street during the weekdays as it is also known as Penang’s banking or financial district. Rows of historical and heritage buildings converted into banks and financial institutions lined up the street.  Most of these heritage buildings retain their old appearance and architecture despite being used as modern financial centers by their owners. The street begins from the roundabout near Persiaran King Edward right up to Chulia Street.
