Penang Isle: Bukit Dumbar Park

Penang Bukit Dumbar is a recreational park situated over a man-made hill located in Jelutong area of the island. It serves as a popular place for the locals to exercise, jogging or just to have a stroll during the mornings and evenings. The park is made up of hill slopes with walkway around and at the top of the small hill.

A public badminton court center is also located within the park’s vicinity for those interested to rent a court for playing badminton.

Chinese New Year decorations within the public park in Armenian Street. This year’s Chinese Lunar New Year marks the Year of the Tiger according to Chinese traditional beliefs.

Bukit Mertajam: The New Mengkuang Dam

The Mengkuang Dam finally re-opened to the public in December 2020 after six years of upgrading and expansion works. Unlike the old dam which had more trees and shades, the new expanded dam provides a wider space for recreational activities (but the area can be very hot during the noon).

The dam is accessible freely to the public from 7am to 7pm daily. Note: there will be crowd control during movement control order. Google Map link – click here.
