One of the intriguing temples in Penang, the Bat Cave Temple is not Bruce Wayne’s secret hideout but rather a Chinese temple built for the worship of Tua Pek Kong, the local god of prosperity. Little is known about this old temple but according to locals, the temple was built a more than fifty ago. The cave which the bats made their home is very dark and the temple structure is built around it. The Bat Cave Temple is located at the foot of Penang Hill, within walking distance from the Penang Hill railway base station.
