Armenian Park in the heart of George Town has been transformed into a vibrant “Mid-Autumn in Nanyang” celebration for 2026, with hundreds of pink lanterns, elaborate floral displays and a striking golden phoenix creating a colourful festive setting against the surrounding heritage streetscape. The decorations, inspired by Penang’s Nanyang cultural heritage and Baba Nyonya influences, were lit up on 6 September 2026 and will remain at the park for about a month, with a Mid-Autumn Festival carnival scheduled for 19 September.
