Butterworth Temasya Bagan
Temasya is a word in Malay which can be translated as festival or fair. The Temasya Bagan at Butterworth is a monthly festival held by the local community with support from the state government to promote the arts and culture scene in Butterworth. One such initiative is the birth of the Butterworth Art walk Alley.
Hai Dong Ma Temple @ Bukit Mertajam
Located on the outskirt area of Bukit Mertajam, which is called Machang Bubok, Hai Dong Ma Temple is a Taoist temple dedicated for the worship of Chinese deity Thean Hou (also popularly known as Mazu). The temple compound also houses various Chinese mythical beings statues including a set of Chinese animal zodiacs.

Cycling through Kuala Kangsar Road
Kuala Kangsar Road or Jalan Kuala Kangsar, is a street in George Town that was named after Kuala Kangsar, the old Royal town of Perak state, and was once a focal area of Malay theater and performance in the early days. The street is usually crowded with marketplace activities in the mornings as the Chowrasta Market is located nearby too.
