Penang Street Art (The Nine Shophouses Mural)

A wall art mural painted on one of the “Nine Shophouses of Kek Chuan Road” in George Town. The Nine Shophouses are a row of rejuvenated pre-war townhouses in Kek Chuan Road which are also painted with nine distinctive colors.

Kek Chuan Road is a small road named after Lim Kek Chuan, who also happened to be a founder of the Penang Chinese Chamber of Commerce. Located in George Town, Penang, the road is also known for its row of nine colorful heritage shophouses. Each of these shophouses is renovated and painted with a different color.
