Lorong Toh Aka (Toh Aka Lane) is located at the heart of the heritage zone in George Town and is an old and rather narrow street. The street was said to be the home of iron smiths back in the old days. Rows of pre-war heritage style townhouses line up the street and majority of these houses belong to the Cheah clan community.

Penang Street Art (New World Park Art Murals)

Art murals depicting the history of New World Park in George Town. Established in 1939, it was once a venue of entertainment and amusement park popular during the 1950s. Now it is mainly consists of a large open-air food court with hawker stalls which are popular with both tourists and locals, along with a few other restaurants.

A view of the old Macallum Street Ghaut PDC Flats, one of the earliest low-cost high rise residences in Penang. These flats were built by the Penang Development Corporation (PDC) in the 1980s following a land reclamation.

Penang Esplanade Promenade

The newly upgraded promenade of the Esplanade in George Town, Penang. The 570-metre promenade upgrade infuses the old historical seawall of the Esplanade along with a new walkway. The old seawall was found to be built since the early 1800s.

During high tide season, a special lower section of the walkway will be filled with seawater and if the time is right, one can even wade through the saltwater via the walkway.
