Art murals depicting the history of New World Park in George Town. Established in 1939, it was once a venue of entertainment and amusement park popular during the 1950s. Now it is mainly consists of a large open-air food court with hawker stalls which are popular with both tourists and locals, along with a few other restaurants.

Old phone booths being converted to “mini library” as part of the George Town’s effort to promote reading culture. These mini libraries are located along Beach Street, near the north end side.

A number of old back alleys in George Town recently went through a ‘beautification process’ as new colorful tiled walkways are being built for people to take a stroll along these rustic alleys.
The newly upgraded promenade of the Esplanade in George Town, Penang. The 570-metre promenade upgrade infuses the old historical seawall of the Esplanade along with a new walkway. The old seawall was found to be built since the early 1800s.
During high tide season, a special lower section of the walkway will be filled with seawater and if the time is right, one can even wade through the saltwater via the walkway.
Located along Victoria Street and built in 1878, Boon San Tong Khoo Kongsi is is one of the two ancestral temples which belong to the Khoo clan in Penang.
