Penang Esplanade Promenade

The newly upgraded promenade of the Esplanade in George Town, Penang. The 570-metre promenade upgrade infuses the old historical seawall of the Esplanade along with a new walkway. The old seawall was found to be built since the early 1800s.

During high tide season, a special lower section of the walkway will be filled with seawater and if the time is right, one can even wade through the saltwater via the walkway.

Penang Isle: The TAN Jetty

Scenes from Tan Jetty, one of the six clan jetties at the eastern shore of Penang island.
As the name suggested, this jetty used to house Chinese immigrants of the Tan surname clan from the Fujian Province in China during the colonial era in the late 19th century.

Balik Pulau: Pantai Malindo (Malindo Beach)


Popularly known as Pantai Malindo (Malindo Beach), this location is actually a stretch of the western shore of Sungai Burong area in Balik Pulau. It is also the spot where the Sungai Burong river meets the sea.
