Penang Street Art (The Giant Cat)

This Giant Cat mural is part of the 101 Lost Kittens project by by local artist Tang Yeok Khang along with his two friends, Natthaton Muangkliang from Thailand and Louise Low from Kuala Lumpur. Created in conjunction with the George Town Festival 2013, the project will have 12 street murals to be completed by June 29. The artists hope to help create a public awareness of the need to protect stray animals and to love their pets through their project. This giant mural can be found along Armenian Street, George Town.

Yet another wall mural painted by a local artist named Louis Gan. This mural depicts how people living on the second floor in the old days were getting their meal through a basket lifted out from the window of the house. This mural can be found at Kinta Lane, George Town.

Penang Street Art (A Basketball Game)

A wall art mural depicting two children playing basketball located just at the back of the old Kwong Wah Yit Poh building. The building is located along Chulia Street Ghaut and this mural was also done by local artist Louis Gan, the same local artist who painted the other mural across the street, Children on the Swing / Step by Step Lane.

This newly painted wall mural was reportedly done by a local artist named Louis Gan. This wall mural depicts most likely a brother and a sister having fun on the swing. The road sign “Step by Step Lane” is also installed as part of the art work and is not an actual road sign. This art work can be found at Chulia Street Ghaut (at a back alley of a printing warehouse).

Just located around the corner of the popular wall murals at Ah Quee Street, George Town, this wall painting seems to suggest that the local art scene is dying (painted by an artist named En Tze).
