Penang Street Art (The Mosaic Images of Women)

As part of the activities to celebrate the International Women’s Day in Penang, this wall of mosaic art works featuring portraiture of women has been created at Karpal Singh Drive, Penang. The art works were formed from drawings/paintings by over 200 people for the 2015 International Women’s Day celebration.

These art murals are created for the Penang International Container Art Festival (PICAF) and can be found at the Dataran Pemuda Merdeka of the MPSP Field in Butterworth.

A container art mural featuring the work of Julia Volchkova, who is no stranger to Penang’s street art scene. The mural depicts a little girl who built her city of dream.

A container art mural featuring the work of Kenji Chai, a local artist.
