Secawan ‘n’ Such is one of the latest cafes to join the trendy cafe scene in George Town. The cafe retained most of the interior elements of the old heritage shoplot of which the cafe is housed within. It also features two large art murals on its interior walls, which were painted by Gabriel Marques, a friend of the famous artist Ernest Zacharevic.

This old heritage kopitiam (cafe) located along Carnarvon Street has quite a nice Char Koay Teow stall.
Tucked along the small alley of Stewart Lane beside the famous Kuan Yin Temple in George Town, The Alley cafe is a rather hidden cafe that is popular locally with its churros and cronuts. The cafe itself is actually housed in a former Chinese paraphernalia shophouse called Kedai Gaharu Keat Seang.

Baa Baa Black Sheep Cafe is located along the main road of Tanjung Bungah and is opposite to the Dalat International School in Penang. It serves meals all day and is quite a recent addition to the area’s restaurants and cafes.

Goh Chew Deep Fried Fish Beehoon at New Lane is a popular local fried beehoon (translated as rice vermicelli) spot in Penang. This fried beehoon is served with deep fried fresh fish meat and is only available in the morning. The main attraction here is the fried fish meat and prawn (sometimes served with extra curry paste), the taste of which sets this beehoon stall apart from the others.
Gusto Cafe is a small cafe tucked away from the town and is located at Hillside, Tanjung Bungah, Penang. Frequently visited by the local residents living around that area, the cafe serves both English breakfast and American style lunch (burgers). Brew Thirty Two Coffee House is one of two newly established cafes along Green Hall, George Town. It serves its signature mille crepes in addition to main course meals such as all day breakfast, and of course, various types of coffee. It is located at the same row of shophouses with Kaffa Espresso Bar.
A newly established cafe at Green Hall Street, Kaffa Espresso Bar joins a myriad of such similar cafes which are opening all over George Town in recent years. Kaffa Espresso Bar provides a retro-like and cozy ambiance while serving nice food (such as Big Bites All-Day Long Breakfast Platter) and coffee. The Mugshot Cafe is one of the many recent small cafes that have mushroomed all over George Town, taking advantage of its heritage status popularity. It serves its own homemade bagels (one of its main draw) which are sourced from the Rainforest bakery next door (both of which are owned by the same people). It is a popular place for both locals and foreigners to hang out and especially for breakfast. The cafe is located along Chulia Street and opens daily from 8am-9pm.
