Macalister Road (or Jalan Macalister) is a rather long road that stretches out from George Town (KOMTAR area) to the outer ring of the city center. The road was found to be named after after Colonel Norman Macalister, who was both the Governor of Penang and a close associate of Captain Francis Light during the 1800s period.

George Town Street View: Kimberley Street
Kimberley Street (Lebuh Kimberley) is an old street in George Town center that starts from Penang Road. The street is famous for its many hawker stalls, especially during the night. It was found to be named after John Wodehouse, the Earl of Kimberley, a British colonial secretary.
George Town Street View: Presgrave Street
Presgrave Street (or Lebuh Presgrave) is a street in George Town that runs through McNair Street and connects to C.Y Choy Road. Known as the ‘Third Street’ in the Prangin Canal area, the street also houses one of the many popular street food or hawker centers in George Town. The Kwong Wah Yit Poh Chinese newspaper office is also located here.
George Town Street View: Argus Lane
At the back of Farquhar Street‘s Church of Assumption lies Argus Lane (or Lorong Argus), a small street that used to house a small community of Eurasian in George Town back then. One of the old townhouses found here was reported to be named Argus House, the place where Penang’s first independent newspaper, ‘Pinang Argus’ was printed (back in the year 1867).

Several art works found on the walls of this ruined heritage house in the now cleared Maxwell Road, George Town. This was one of the locations used for the Different Strokes street art festival too.

Prangin Mall is a shopping complex located just beside KOMTAR and 1st Avenue Mall in the center of George Town city.
Gurney Plaza Shopping Center
Gurney Plaza is a shopping mall located along the Gurney Drive promenade. It has two entrance, the main entrance is located along Gurney Drive, facing the sea while the other entrance is located along Kelawai Road. A few blocks from it lies another shopping center – the Gurney Paragon.
