The Street Art that Started It All

This is the most famous work in Penang done by Ernest Zacharevic, a Lithuania-born artist commissioned to paint some of the walls of George Town, Penang. It depicts two young children riding a bicycle and is located along Armenian Street, now one of the most photographed streets (or rather wall) in George Town (as seen below).

Crowds taking picture of the famous wall mural almost every day.

Penang Street Art (Children on the Swing)

This newly painted wall mural was reportedly done by a local artist named Louis Gan. This wall mural depicts most likely a brother and a sister having fun on the swing. The road sign “Step by Step Lane” is also installed as part of the art work and is not an actual road sign. This art work can be found at Chulia Street Ghaut (at a back alley of a printing warehouse).

Penang Street Art (Dying Art Wall Painting)

Just located around the corner of the popular wall murals at Ah Quee Street, George Town, this wall painting seems to suggest that the local art scene is dying (painted by an artist named En Tze).
