Balik Pulau: Sungai Burong
Sungai Burong or Sungai Burung is a stretch of river at the western coast of Balik Pulau, Penang. Beautiful view of the rural landscape can be seen on a stroll along the river. Paddy fields and rows of coconut trees lined up along the riverbank.
There is also a small village nearby named after the river, called Kampung Sungai Burung.

Ayer Itam Dam: The Hill Top Trail
The hill top trail circling the Ayer Itam Dam is a popular trail for the locals here who like to take a stroll, jog, cycle and hike. Along the trail, one can easily enjoy the lush green rainforest and the cooling shades of the trees. There are also several smaller paths for hiking and biking along the trail, that lead to various locations of the hill and its neighboring areas.

These rattan art sculptures resembling the shape of a tree can be found at the edge of the field of the Municipal Park (or Youth Park)

A popular recreational place for the locals to have a healthy stroll or jog, the large Penang Municipal Park (or Youth Park) is created back in the 1970s.
