One of the things to do in Penang is to take a quiet stroll along the path that goes around the Botanic Gardens. The surrounding lush green forest and the occasional sight of small creatures from the woods make this a worthwhile walk.

The hill top trail circling the Ayer Itam Dam is a popular trail for the locals here who like to take a stroll, jog, cycle and hike. Along the trail, one can easily enjoy the lush green rainforest and the cooling shades of the trees. Along the Summit Road, one will encounter paths which will lead to the various old British colonial era bungalows built at the slope of the hill.
