Jalan Dinding or Dinding Lane is a small and short street that is linked with Transfer Road in George Town. Although it is a lane, its Malay translation is “Jalan” – meaning Road, just like the similarly styled Hutton Lane being called Jalan Hutton. Dinding Lane is found to be named after The Dindings (now known as Manjung), part of the old Straits Settlements region.
