It used to be a very popular McDonald’s outlet in Penang and almost every Penang born adult would have visited this outlet at some point in their lives here.

Irrawaddy Road (or Jalan Irrawadi) is a small road in George Town that can be accessed via Burmah Road and Northam Road. It is named after the Irrawaddy River or Ayeyarwady River in Myanmar due to the nearby presence of the Burmese and Thai communities back in the old days.
This area used to be a residential area with a few government servants quarters, but in recent times, several eateries and cafes have opened in the nearby areas.

Presgrave Street View: Kwong Wah Yit Poh Press Building
Kwong Wah Yit Poh is one of the oldest Chinese language newspapers in Malaysia, which was originally founded by in 1910 by Dr. Sun Yat-sen (as one of the movement’s media outlets to overthrow the Qing dynasty of Imperial China at that time). This current building is located at Presgrave Street, George Town. Prior to this location, the newspaper office had been located in several places in George Town including Armenian Street and Chulia Street Ghaut.
