Penang Isle: Karpal Singh Drive (formerly The Nautilus Bay)
Completed more than 10 years ago, this seaside walkway that stretches along the coastline of Jelutong Expressway, is also dubbed the ‘New Gurney’ by the locals here. This walkway is a popular place for joggers, cyclists as well as fishing hobbyists. At the center of the walkway lies the 4-blue-pylons art sculpture made by renowned artist NAKAYAMA Hitori.
The promenade is now renamed as Karpal Singh Drive in honor of Karpal Singh, a prominent politician hailing from Penang who passed away in an accident in 2014.
Acheen Street View: Heritage Townhouses Facade
Old heritage pre-war townhouses along Acheen Street, George Town. These double-storeys townhouses normally have the “Southern Chinese” Eclectic Style architecture, which is often influenced by a mix of Chinese, Indian and European style design.
Penang Street Art (The Mosaic Images of Women)
As part of the activities to celebrate the International Women’s Day in Penang, this wall of mosaic art works featuring portraiture of women has been created at Karpal Singh Drive, Penang. The art works were formed from drawings/paintings by over 200 people for the 2015 International Women’s Day celebration.

Penang Street Art (The Dragon and the Phoenix)
A dragon and a phoenix wall art mural painted by a local artist named Zen Lim (Instagram @zenlim_penang_artist). The mural started off with just the dragon and at a later time, a phoenix was also added into the picture. This mural can be found at the side wall of a heritage shophouse located along Carnarvon Street, George Town.
