The back alley of Stewart Lane behind the walls of Hutchings School is now the home to two different sets of art murals; the first set being painted by an artist with the initial “Edd” and the second set of murals painted by Japanese artist Takayuki Miyazon.

An interesting window covered by various beautiful tiles at a townhouse located along a small alley between Market Lane and Stewart Lane, George Town.
This art mural depicts a local Chinese bard named Tan Tong Tong who was famous as a Yue Qin (a traditional Chinese lute) musician during the 1950s to 1960s. He had a local radio program back then which was broadcasting his recordings before it got cancelled.
This rather secluded mural can be found along a small alley between Bishop Street and Light Street which also connects King Street and Jalan Masjid Kapitan Keling (Pitt Street).

Random blue lines painted on the ground of an alley at Chulia Street, George Town
And yes, I’d like to think this as a street art of some sort rather than just random blue paint lines, haha.
This large mural can be found painted on the wall facing a small alley of Hotel Penaga‘s Clarke Terrace. Phrases of “Under Protection” can be seen inscribed upon the art work, probably to mean the things that should be protected by people less they are extinct. The painting depicts a tiger caring for her cubs, an old pre-war house structure and a man resting on a trishaw amidst tropical trees and birds.
