The Yeoh Kongsi clan association and temple located at the intersection of Chulia Street Ghaut and Victoria Street, George Town.

The official name of the “Kongsi” is Har Yang Sit Teik Tong Yeoh Kongsi, and it is is a Hokkien clan association for the Yeoh surnamed descendants.

Located along Victoria Street and built in 1878, Boon San Tong Khoo Kongsi is an ancestral clan temple for the Khoo clan people in Penang. It is one of the two Khoo clan temples in Penang and also the smaller and less popular one compared to the main Khoo Kongsi at Cannon Street, George Town.

This artwork found at the Victoria Street entrance of China House is created by ASA or Artists for Stray Animals, as part of the 101 Lost Kittens project. It depicts a big cat on a cart with a signboard saying “Even if handicapped, still love me”.

China House

China House, a popular dining and lifestyle place located right at the heart of George Town, is a convergence of a fantastic restaurant/cafe, an art house and a lively night bar. The place is actually made up of 3 colonial era buildings linked via an open courtyard in the middle. The restaurant entrance of China House faces the Beach Street while the entrance to the bar (called the Canteen) is located at the other end, Victoria Street.
