A wall art mural of a local pastry shop ‘Ming Xiang Tai’ which is located along Armenian Street Ghaut. This painting which depicts two children trying to reach out to the buns basket on the bicycle can be found on a wall facing CF food court, further down the road from the giant cat mural.

Held annually at the heritage area of George Town, the Chinese New Year festival and celebration in Penang usually attracts a huge turnout of visitors. Various cultural performances and events (such as lion dance, traditional opera, heritage show, etc) are being held at the festival.

Ah Quee Street (Lebuh Ah Quee), is an old street in George Town which is named after Kapitan China Chung Keng Kwee. An influential figure during his time, Kapitan Chung Keng Kwee (also known as ‘Ah Kwee’, hence the street name) presented this street to the local municipality after having demolished his shophouses to make way for the road.

George Town Street View: The Hin Company Bus Depot

Built with an architectural style of Art Deco, the Hin Company Bus Depot is an old and abandoned bus depot located along Brick Kiln Road (or Jalan Gurdwara), in George Town, Penang. It is right opposite Grand Continental Hotel and nearby Gama shopping mall.

There is an art exhibition by Ernest Zacharevic held at the bus depot from 17 January until 14 February as shown HERE.
