Penang Mainland: Temple of the Nine Emperor Gods

The Tow Boo Kong temple is a temple worshiping the Nine Emperors Gods which is located at Raja Uda, Butterworth, Penang. The remarkably distinctive temple is a beautiful sight as the temple is intricately adorned with mythical Chinese carvings outside and within the temple courtyard.

Penang Isle: Bayan Baru Sivan Temple

The MYR 3 million Sri Visalatchi Sri Vishwanather Temple (Sivan Temple), believed to be the biggest Sivan temple in the northern region, is the latest attraction of the Hindu religious enclave in Bayan Baru, Penang. The Hindu temple is located next to the Charismatic Church of Penang and the Than Hsiang Buddhist Temple.

Penang Isle: Metropolitan Park

The Metropolitan Park in Relau, Penang is a public recreational area and was opened to the public in 2003. The park is built as a recreational area to cater for the public need in the southern part of Penang Island as previously there was none of such facility in the area. Like most other public parks in Penang, the Penang Island Municipal Council is in charge of its management.

Penang Isle: Kapitan Keling Mosque

Located at the Heritage zone of George Town, the Kapitan Keling Mosque is one of the oldest and famous landmarks in the island.
The mosque was built by the the head of the Indian Muslim community in Penang during the year 1800, and is located at along Jalan Masjid Kapitan Keling (formerly Pitt Street but was later renamed after the mosque). The historic mosque was also used previously as the state mosque of Penang. The name “kapitan keling” is used to denote the headman or leader of the South Indian Muslim community.

Penang Isle: A Fishing Village at Balik Pulau

Balik Pulau (literally meaning ‘back of the island’ in Malay) is a town in Penang, Malaysia. It is also one of the thirteen parliamentary constituencies in Penang, stretching about half of Penang Island, from Batu Feringhi at its north to Teluk Kumbar at its south.
